Spooky October Vibes 2020
These are the ambient soundscapes I *do not* recommend falling asleep to!
UPDATE! There's now 4 tracks, totaling over 31 minutes of audio!
Usually I do music and sound design of a very pleasant nature. But lately I've been toying with some stuff with much more dissonance. I don't have much use for these, other than what I learned while creating and experimenting.
It just so happens to be October, though! And, hey! Maybe YOU want to play these as background sounds in your haunted house? Or use them to set the atmosphere during your next spooky/horror-themed tabletop RPG session!
What is this?
You're buying a package of audio that you can use for personal, non-commercial enjoyment. Like buying an album. You are NOT receiving a license to sample or reproduce these copyrighted works. You ARE receiving some audio for your enjoyment, or to play on your porch or at a party during the upcoming holiday season.
So far this includes FOUR tracks:
- 2020-08-13 is over 8 minutes of completely dissonant atmosphere. Perfect for a background during a tabletop gaming session.
- 2020-10-01 is a *generative* audio experiment. I handed the ingredients to the computer, set some parameters, and this is 8 minutes and 24 seconds of spooky results.
- 2020-10-03 "wonka tunnel" is a 5-minute track of eerie and creepy sounds, constantly whizzing past you -- as if careening down a very modern Wonka tunnel. You know the scene. This is another example of *generative* sound: I collected lots of creepy audio, [making special use of the Taratoma sample pack from Glitchmachines]. I set up some parameters and other underlying and supporting effects and instruments, and then let the computer generate the structure. Does that make it *more* creepy?
- 2020-10-03 "atmosphere" is what happens if you put that Wonka tunnel ride through a bad tape machine and slowed it down a lot. It's over nine minutes of atmospheric audio, generated by messing up a snippet of the aforementioned track and stretching it out for an uncomfortable amount of time!
And if I create more later, it's included!
This is version 2.0! If you buy this, and I release any more "spooky/dissonant ambient atmosphere" type sounds in October 2020, I'll add them to this package with an updated "version"! You'll get an email update to tell you to come download additional items for no extra cost!
As of October 4th, I've already updated it to 2.0 and included an extra 14 minutes of audio!
You'll receive a link to a shared folder containing several MP3 audio tracks (320kbps). Totalling over 30 minutes of dissonant, disturbing, creepy sounds!
